Rat Bile Collection
CannuLock™
Rat bile collection is quick, clean and easy with CannuLock™ Catheter Access Buttons™
The rat bile collection CannuLock™ Catheter Access Buttons™ system represents a groundbreaking innovation in animal research, specifically designed to streamline and enhance the process of bile collection in rats. Engineered for precision and ease of use, the CannuLock™ Catheter Access Buttons™ offer a secure and reliable method for catheterization, minimizing animal stress while ensuring high-quality sample collection. This advanced system integrates cutting-edge materials and ergonomic design to support efficient, sterile, and repeatable procedures, making it an indispensable tool for researchers in pharmacology, toxicology, and physiology studies.
Supplies for Bile Collection Only
In this basic study design, the bile is recirculated during the recovery period, but no replacement salts are given during the study. This simplified approach requires fewer supplies, but is only useful for short term collections. Low volume tubing increases the flow speed, and maximizes the siphon action to maintain a continuous bile flow for the duration of the collection.

Supplies for Bile Collection + Blood Collection
This set up makes it possible to collect both blood and bile for a more complete ADME profile. Using CannuLock™ Catheter Access Buttons™ makes connections quick and clean, for speedy set-up and easy animal weighing. A Catheter Access Port™ replaces a standard pin on the blood collection line to reduce blood loss and improve catheter patency.
