Supplies for ITT and GTT Studies
In this study design, a loading dose of glucose (gtt) or insulin (itt) is followed by intermittent blood sampling. The dose is typically administered orally, and since multiple blood samples are needed, an access port is the best tool to make catheter access quick and easy.

This protocol relies on intravenous (IV) infusion of insulin to set a baseline, as well as variable rate infusion of glucose (into the same IV line).
